The Fond du lac city council vice president says she would be honored if she is nominated to serve as council president for the next two years. Kay Miller has been the council vice president, and often the lone vote in opposition to a Lakeside Park alternate master plan over the last year and a half. With the election of three new councilmembers who also oppose the alternate master plan Miller suddenly will find herself in the council majority on that issue. “It’s going to be a very different council coming up. You know exactly where I stand. I’ve never wavered,” Miller told WFDL news. Miller says she believes the election was a referendum on the Lakeside Park issue. “It was very transparent. The platform the trio candidates ran on, that’s what the race was about,” Miller said. The council will select the president and other officers at it’s organizational meeting Tuesday.
