4-15-21 thiesfeldt not surprised at state supreme court ruling

Fond du Lac Republican state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says he is not surprised by a Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling that Governor Tony Evers’  administration can’t limit capacity on businesses without legislative approval.  “My initial reaction is it’s not surprising news considering the decision that was made two weeks ago.  If the governor doesn’t have the authority to re-issue these emergency orders than he obviously doesn’t have the authority enact restrictions on capacity,”  Thiesfeldt told WFDL news.  Two weeks ago the conservative-controlled court struck down the state’s mask mandate.  There has not been a statewide capacity limit restriction in place since October.
