The Fond du Lac County Dairy and Livestock extension agent is applauding the reintroduction of a bill that seeks to end the labeling of plant-based products as milk. Extension agent Tina Kohlman says labeling products from nuts, seeds and plants as milk is misleading to consumers. The bill calls on the Food and Drug Administration to enforce its regulations that define milk and cream and stop the labeling of plant-based products as milk, yogurt or cheese.
