The new Fond du Lac School superintendent says he is looking forward to starting his new job. At their meeting Monday night the Fond du Lac School Board officially approved a contract hiring South Milwaukee High School principal Dr. Jeffrey Fleig. “I’m excited to serve the students, the staff and the greater Fond du Lac community,” Dr. Fleig told WFDL news. “There’s a lot of work to do. I’m exited to get to work.” Fleig will start his new duties July first. He will be meeting with school district administrators later this week and again next week. Dr. Fleig has a background in student equity. His staring salary will be $167,500. Meanwhile, at last night’s organizational meeting, Mark Jurgella was elected school board president. Dr. Fleig will be a guest on AM 1170’s Between the Lines program at 9:30am Tuesday.
