The Fond du Lac County Health Department’s Safe Restart Plan has moved forward into the next phase. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the plan follows metrics regarding COVID-19 case counts and hospitalizations. Mueller says now that vaccine is widely available to everyone, under the county’s Safe Restart plan businesses like restaurants are able to be open at full capacity. Previously the capacity limit was 75 percent under the Restart Plan. There have been 14 new positive COVID-19 cases in Fond du Lac County since Friday and eight people are hospitalized. There have been 12,213 positive COVID-19 cases in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.
