The EAA Museum in Oshkosh is expanding to offer year round aviation training and education opportunities. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held this week for a two-story, 30,000 square foot facility connected to the EAA Aviation Museum. EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski says the Pilot Proficiency Center will be located on the first floor featuring a state of the art skill building and training center for general aviation pilots. Knapinski says the second floor will house the Youth Education Center. Construction on the $6.2 million addition is expected to be completed in a year with a grand opening scheduled for EAA AirVenture 2022.
