A Fond du Lac man escaped serious injury after crashing his car into an Alliant Energy substation building on Martin Avenue.  The crash happened Friday morning on Martin Avenue, just north of the Highway 151 Bypass.  Fire chief Pete O’Leary tells WFDL news it appears a car was southbound on Martin Avenue when it veered across the road, crashing through the substation gate before coming to rest against a transformer.  The crash is under investigation.
