Three people were transported to the hospital, one with serious injuries, following an alcohol-related head-on collision on Highway 23 and Whispering Springs Drive in Fond du Lac. According to a police log, shortly after 6pm Sunday a vehicle had stopped in eastbound traffic waiting for a car to turn onto Whispering Springs Drive, when it was hit from behind, and then collided head on with a westbound vehicle. The driver of the westbound car received multiple broken bones and was transported to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was arrested for OWI –Fourth Offense causing injury, and imprudent speed in a work zone.
