A new study shows Mercury Marine has a more than $5 billion annual economic impact on the Fond du Lac community. The study was conducted by Envision Greater Fond du Lac and Impact DataSource. Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk says the study shows Merc has a total job impact of more than 11,000 jobs, including nearly 4,000 at it’s global headquarters in Fond du Lac. Parafiniuk says the company also has a $32 million tax impact on the community. Parafiniuk says the study reaffirms Mercury’s commitment to the Fond du Lac community. The study shows Mercury’s impact on retail activity in the region has increased 80 percent since 2016, accounting for more than $336 million in community retail sales.
