5-5-21 new interim fdl police chief excited to lead department

Assistant Fond  du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says it still setting in that he has been named interim chief when chief Bill Lamb retires this month.   The Police and Fire commission officially named Goldstein to the post last week. Goldstein says he’s very excited to be able to lead the department as interim chief.  “I’ve been in this community for a long time serving for nearly 22 years and the trust that I’ve gained in this policing profession has really inspired me to cotninue to a level where I can influence the whole Department,”  Goldstein told WFDL news.   Goldstein says with the trust of law enforcement at the forefront across the country, he says he feels fortunate that the Fond du lac Police Department has the support of the community.  Lamb is retiring this month after  10 years at the helm and Goldstein has applied for the position.   The Police and Fire commission is hiring a firm to conduct a search for the next chief.
