An armed robbery suspect was arrested inside a Fond du Lac grocery store following a high speed chase involving a motorcycle in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties. The chase started Monday afternoon in Dodge County and continued north into the city of Fond du Lac where the suspect crashed his motorcycle near the Jet Stream car wash on Pioneer Road and fled on foot. Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt told WFDL news a citizen reported a suspicious person inside the Fond du Lac Pick N Save store. Waldschmidt says the suspect was trying to get customers cellphones to make a call and deputies chased him through the store, eventually using a Taser on him in the liquor area of the grocery store. Waldschmidt says the suspect and deputies fell into a liquor display, smashing glass liquor bottles on the floor before taking him into custody. Waldschmidt says the suspect was also wanted for similar crimes in Winnebago County.
