Summer-like weather is arriving as we get closer to the Memorial Day holiday weekend. National Weather Service meteorologist, Andy Boxel, says high temps in the upper 70s and lower 80s are in the forecast over the next several days. Boxel says it’s a bit of a joke in Wisconsin, but it’s true. When it comes to the weather almost anything is normal this time of year. As far as the potential for severe weather and tornadoes this summer, Boxel says while it’s impossible to predict at this point, the last few years have been relatively quiet. The last major tornado outbreak in our area was August 2018 when multiple tornadoes touched down in the western half of Fond du Lac and Dodge counties.
