A team of four college students from UW Green Bay and St. Norbert College are walking 140 miles next month to raise money and awareness for veterans. Sam Skiff, Andrew Lopez, Nickolas Hanke and Alex Kaufman are participating in the sixth annual ruck march along Lake Michigan from Lambeau Field to Veterans Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Former Fond du Lac resident Sam Skiff is the team leader. He says while the ruck is mentally draining and taxing, the group is doing it “For Them”…the men and women who have given so much to this country. Skiff says the group hopes to raise at least $20,000. People can donate by logging onto the 4th HOOAH website. The event will be held June 27 through July 3.
