Motorists are heading out for the long Memorial Day Holiday weekend and AAA is forecasting travel will rebound to more than 37 million, with over 700,000 Wisconsinites expected to take a trip this holiday weekend. AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says that’s a record 60-percent increase from last year. The predicted jump in travel is still 14 percent below pre-pandemic levels. A huge increase in air travel is expected, but most Memorial Day travelers will be taking road trips.
