5-31-21 food truck festival at lakeside park

Over 2,000 people attended the first Food Truck Festival this weekend at Fond du Lac's Lakeside Park.  The event was  held Sunday on Oven Island.  In addition to eight Food Trucks featuring a variety of different types of food, there was live music and several  family activities, plus a Lakeside Park History display.

5-28-21 former oshkosh west high school business teacher named superintendent

A former Oshkosh West High School business teacher has been named the next superintendent of the Oshkosh School District.  Shorewood School superintendent Bryan Davis has been hired to the post.  The school board will officially approve the hiring at their meeting Tuesday.  Davis has a doctorate in urban education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a master's in educational administration from UW-Milwaukee.  He previously served as a high school principal in Green Bay and a business education […]

5-28-21 memorial day holiday travel

Motorists are heading out for the long Memorial Day Holiday weekend and AAA is forecasting travel will rebound to more than 37 million, with over 700,000 Wisconsinites expected to take a trip this holiday weekend.  AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says that’s a record  60-percent increase from last year.  The predicted jump in travel is still 14 percent below pre-pandemic levels.   A huge increase in air travel is expected, but most […]
