The Fond du Lac School Board has handed out more than $29,000 in Acuity Fund grants to 14 projects throughout the school district. The fund was established several years ago by the Acuity Insurance naming rights to the Fond du Lac High School Field House. Each year the Board uses interest earned on the fund to pay for projects that otherwise may not be funded through the District budget. School Board president Mark Jurgella says this year the grant fund awards ranged from as little as $325 for a Taste the Rainbow project at Rosenow Elementary School, to nearly $4,700 for an Advanced Technology program at Fond du Lac High School. Other grants went to support music programs at Woodorth Middle School and at Fondy High.
