The Fond du Lac School Board has tabled asking the District Facilities director to explore how much it would cost to build an artificial turf football field until their next meeting to find out how much a study would cost. Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says a feasibility study would examine the costs of installing and maintaining turf at either the high school or Fruth Field. The request comes a year and a half after the school board voted against committing $1.5 million from the school district fund balance for a turf field at Fond du Lac High School if a certain amount could be raised in the private sector .
