The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a fatal head on collision. A 50 year old Lake Mills woman was killed when her car was struck head on by a pick up truck that veered across the center line of state Highway 33 Wednesday near Horicon. A 12 year old passenger in the car was seriously injured in the crash. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says investigators have an idea why the driver may have crossed the center line but are not ready to release that information yet as the investigation is ongoing. It was the second fatal traffic crash on state Highway 33 in two days. Tuesday afternoon, a 68 year old man and six month old girl died when a van struck their vehicle. Schmidt says the crashes have also taken an emotional toll on the officers and first responders involved.
