An Oshkosh man was arrested following a high speed chase on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac and Winnebago counties. The chase started shortly after 10pm Friday after a motorcycle operator fled from a traffic stop. A Fond du Lac County deputy located the motorcycle on 41 near Sales Rd. and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. There was a short high speed pursuit before the chase was terminated near County Highway OO when the suspect exited the Interstate. The deputy was able to speak with several citizens in the area who witnessed the motorcycle park at a residence in the Village of North Fond du Lac. The driver of the motorcycle was immediately identified and taken into custody. The 27 year-old Oshkosh man was held on charges of Felony Eluding, OWI 4 th Offense, and numerous traffic citations. He will also be facing charges stemming from the initial eluding incident in Winnebago County.
