Wednesday is the last day on the job for interim school superintendent Sharon Simon. Simon is retiring after more than 30 years in the Fond du lac School District. “I feel so fortunate the District took a chance on me 32 and a half years ago, and I’ve always felt it’s been an honor and priviledge,” Simon told WFDL news. Simon started in 1989 as a social studies teacher at Goodrich High School, moving to Sabish Middle School where she taught for 11 years before becoming an assistant principal at Fond du lac High School. She was the District Human Resources director before accepting the interim superintendent post last year.
