MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has vetoed a Republican bill that would eliminate a $300-a week federal bonus for unemployed people. 6-30-21 aaa independence day holiday travel forecast

AAA projects 47 million Americans plan to travel for the Independence Day holiday.   State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says that’s a 40 percent increase from last year , yet just 2.5 percent fewer than the 2019 holiday.  Over a million Wisconsinites are forecasted to take a trip during the holiday weekend, the second-most on record.  Jarmusz says motorists will see higher prices at the gas pump.
