The new Fond du Lac School District superintendent says his top goal during his first year at the helm is to improve student learning. Dr. Jeff Fleig started his job the first of the month. Dr. Fleig says in addition to teaching and learning, reengaging students will be a challenge. “It’s more than just student learning, you have to reengage the students, you have to reenage the families,” Dr. Fleig told WFDL news. “We’re coming out of a time where we have some students who haven’t been in the school house for probably over a year.”
