7-14-21 heavy rain, potential for severe weather in forecast

A one-two punch of thunderstorms is expected to bring strong winds, hail, and heavy rain to southern Wisconsin, including Dodge and Fond du Lac counties this afternoon and tonight.  There is also the possibility of a tornado.  National Weather Service meteorologist Jaclyn Anderson says the first round of storms is expected to move through the area between 3pm and 6pm this afternoon.  Anderson says there is still some uncertainty about how strong the second round of storms will be that are expected to impact the Fond du Lac area after 8pm tonight.  Anderson says rainfall totals depend on how the storms track.  She says depending on how the storms track we could see an inch and a half to two inches of rain this afternoon and tonight.
