The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new safety initiative designed to reward safe and responsible actions of recreational vehicle users. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says Recreation Deputy Cameron Vorhies is handing out free Kwik Trip cookie coupons to those who he sees with proper safety gear. Schmidt says the Sheriff’s Office is conducting the safety initiative in partnership with the state DNR. Schmidt says so many lives could be saved if people would just wear a life-jacket on in a boat a or helmet while riding an ATV or UTV.
