A missing teenage boy has been found safe in Dodge County. Shortly before 7pm Sunday the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing 14-year-old who had left Crystal Lake Beach Park in the town of Beaver Dam. The high-functioning special needs child left the area about an hour before this was reported to law enforcement. After a brief search, Dodge County’s Child Abduction Response Team (CART) was activated to assist with the search. A thorough search of the area was conducted and then expanded utilizing the sheriff’s office and Beaver Dam Police Department drones. Eventually, a tip was received that the subject had walked to the Wild Goose Trail near State Highway 33 and State Highway 26. The subject then walked into a cornfield which complicated the search further. The sheriff’s office UTV along with the Horicon and Juneau Fire Department UTVs were deployed along with fire department lighting equipment. Three hours later the missing teen was located in a tree stand in the middle of a cornfield.
