The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says she is confident investment in expanding broadband access will have a significant impact locally. Envision recently participated in roundtable discussions with Governor Tony Evers and Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin about expanding access to broadband internet. Envision president Sadie Parafiniuk says a recent survey of Fond du Lac County residents and businesses found slow connection speeds and unreliable connections. A bipartisan plan in the senate would put $65 billion toward expanding broadband coverage across the country. The state budget recently signed by governor Evers includes money to expand broadband in the state.
