The North Fond du Lac School District is joining other area school districts in opting to start the school year with a mask optional policy. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says at this point community spread is still low and 90-percent of district staff is vaccinated. The school board voted this week in favor of making masks optional, but strongly recommending masks for people who are not vaccinated. The CDC recommends indoor masks for all teachers, staff, students and visitors at schools nationwide, regardless of vaccination status.
