Severe thunderstorms and radar indicated tornadoes swept through Wisconsin late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, knocking down trees and power lines. Heavy rain also caused some flooding in Fond du Lac and Dodge counties. Fond du Lac County Emergency Management director Bobbie Hicken says the city of Ripon was hardest hit in Fond du Lac County with 70-80 mile an hour winds reported. Hicken says several trees are reported down in Ripon. Hicken at this point she is not sure if a tornado or straight line winds are responsible for the damage in Ripon.
