On August 15, 2021 at 8:24 pm the Fond du lac County Sheriff’s Office, North Fond du Lac Ambulance, Van Dyne Fire Department and First Responders were dispatched to single motorcycle crash on County Road RP/Van Dyne Road south of Cemetery Road in the Township of Friendship, Fond du Lac County.
The motorcycle was traveling northbound on County Road RP/Van Dyne Road when the driver lost control of motorcycle and went off the east shoulder of the roadway. The lone occupant was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a rest in the east ditch. The driver, a 32-year-old Oshkosh man was flown by Theda Star helicopter to Theda Clark Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
Alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash. North Fond du Lac Police Department assisted at the scene.
