With students heading back to school this week amid a surge in COVID-19 cases the North Fond du Lac School District is reconsidering it’s mask optional policy.   The North Fond du Lac School Board is meeting in special session Tuesday evening to consider requiring students and staff to wear face coverings for the first month of the school year.   Superintendent Aaron Sadoff told WFDL news the policy would be re-evaluated after that.  Sadoff says some staff members have contracted COVID-19 just days before the start of school, and masking would be a way to keep kids and staff in class five days a week.  “Just a policy for the next month.  That would allow us to maneuver through and allow us to when kids are in classrooms, hallways and schools, not when they eat, not when they participate in athletics, and not outside, until we get ahold of this and I’m hoping that’s within a few weeks,”  Sadoff said.
