8-31-21 health officials concerned about number of people hospitalized in fdl county with covid-19

Fond du Lac County has the most people hospitalized with COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.   Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says 18 people are hospitalized in the county with the virus.  That’s down four from the day before.  Mueller says her biggest concern is that if hospitalizations continue to rise area hospitals will have more difficulty caring for patients.  Mueller says the current spread of the virus in the community could be significantly lessened if more people would get vaccinated and wear masks.  There were 105 COVID-19 cases reported in Fond du Lac County over the weekend.
