8-26-21 man sentenced to prison for causing baby’s death

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — A man convicted of causing the death of a 10-month-old boy he was caring for in Oshkosh has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Freddy Colon pleaded no contest to neglecting a child resulting in death as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. Court records show the charge was reduced from reckless homicide. 6-26-21 fdl police officer hospitalized in serious condition with covid-19

6-26-21 local unemployment rate falls

The local unemployment rate continues to fall in the latest reporting period.   The Dodge County unemployment rate was 3.3 in July, down from 3.7 percent in June.  In Fond du Lac County the unemployment rate fell two tenths of a percent to 3.5 percent.   The city of Fond du Lac jobless rate was 4.2 percent last month, down from 4.3 percent in June.
