The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency blood and platelet shortage.  American Red Cross Wisconsin spokesman Justin Kern says a sharp drop in blood donor turnout has contributed to the lowest post-summer blood inventory level in six years.    Kern says donors of all blood types, but especially type O and platelet donors are needed in the weeks ahead to help meet the needs of patients this fall.  Kern says […]

10-1-21 fatal crash-sheboygan county

Two people were killed in a two vehicle crash in Sheboygan County.  The crash happened Thursday morning on Highway 23 and County Highway TT near Sheboygan Falls.  A preliminary investigation shows that an eastbound 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan struck the trailer of a northbound tractor trailer. The driver and passenger of the Dodge sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer unit was not injured.  The Wisconsin State Patrol is continuing the crash […]

10-1-21 fdl county car crash

A single vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County Wednesday night sent one person to the hospital.  The crash happened shortly after 11pm Wednesday on County Highway K near Drumlin Drive.  A vehicle left the road and struck a tree. The State Patrol is investigating.

10-1-21 dodge county man sentenced to prison in drug case

A Columbus man is going to prison for delivery of methamphetamine.  Dodge County Circuit judge Brian Pfitzinger sentenced 36 year old Joshua S Rennock  to seven years in prison followed by five years of extended supervision.   Rennock was convicted of selling  more than 14 grams of meth to undercover drug officers while he was on probation.

10-1-21 senate candidate pleads not guilty to theft charge

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate and Milwaukee Ald. Chantia Lewis pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a misdemeanor theft by fraud charge. That is one of five charges she faces for allegedly taking more than $20,000 in campaign funds and false travel reimbursements from the city. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 18.
