The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is joining other Sheriff’s offices around the state to provide hurricane relief to sheriff’s employees in Louisiana following Hurricane Ida. The Sheriff’s Office is participating in the Wisconsin Badger State Sheriff’s Association’s Sheriff’s Adopting Sheriff’s program. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says a charity softball game will be held next month between members of the Sheriff’s Office and Beaver Dam Police Department with all of the proceeds from the sheriff’s office donated to employees of sheriff’s offices in Louisiana. Schmidt says Dodge County residents can also donate money by writing out checks to the Badger State Sheriff’s Association, and dropping them off mailing the checks directly to him.
