The North Fond du Lac School District has implemented a 15 day masking requirement for students and staff following a recent spike in COVID-19 cases. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the requirement went into effect Tuesday. Sadoff says the masking requirement was implemented after the District met the threshold for COVID in-school spread, and the number of District residents who have contracted the virus. Sadoff says not everyone is happy with the decision. Some parents tried to send their kids to school without masks, but were told they wouldn’t be allowed in the school building without a mask. Sadoff says the data will be reviewed in 15 days and based on that the masking requirement will either be lifted or continued.
