Nobody was injured and a North Fond du Lac man is in custody following a high speed chase. The chase started shortly before 7:30pm Sunday when a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Highway 151 near Thill Road. The chase was terminated shortly after the vehicle turned north onto Camelot Drive in the city of Fond du Lac. A short time later another Sheriff’s deputy located the vehicle traveling north on Main St. in the City of Fond du Lac and a second chase ensued, before it was terminated at Amory and Johnson Streets. However deputies were able to identify a potential suspect and a 23-year-old North Fond du Lac man was taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on two counts of Fleeing / Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer, two counts of 1 st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and a Probation and Parole Warrant. The initial pursuit covered 8 miles and the second pursuit lasted for one mile.
