The new general manager of the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders baseball team says he is looking forward to continued success on and off the field for the team. Fond du Lac native Jim Misudek has been named GM of the two-time Northwoods League champions. “In the Northwoods League you’re going to see the best amateur talent there is,” Misudek told AM 1170s Between the Lines program. “…college age kids, they’re trying to get drafted, they’re trying to get signed.” “They’re future minor leaguers, future major leaguers. Not all of them, but many of them.” Misudek began his baseball career as an intern with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2006. He followed that up with six seasons as the head of communications for the Baltimore Orioles and five seasons as media relations coordinator with the Atlanta Braves.
