Dear FHS Families,
Our first priority is the safety and well-being of our students, their families, and our staff. Late this morning, students were held in their classrooms for several minutes while staff and police officers worked to address an altercation between several students due to ongoing conflicts that started outside of school. This hold was meant to protect students and staff. School administrators along with our law enforcement partners were able to address the incident immediately.
This is a serious matter and we are cooperating with law enforcement to provide our complete support in every way possible. Resources will be available to respond to students and parents as needed.
This type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the Fond du Lac School District.  Students who participated in the fight will be suspended and referred for criminal charges. Additionally, the District will be proceeding with a thorough investigation which may lead to expulsion.  Also, the District will be allocating additional police officers to Fond du Lac High School for the foreseeable future. We are fortunate to have a strong relationship with law enforcement, and we will work collaboratively to ensure we do everything we can to maintain the safety and security of our schools.
If you have questions or concerns, please call my office at 920-929-2740.
Sincerely,
Matt Steinbarth
Principal
