A Fond du Lac man and his infant daughter reported missing after a car crash in Fond du Lac County have been found safe. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says 24 year old Jordan Smack and his four month old daughter Serenity were found safe at a residence in the city of Fond du Lac. The two were reported missing following a crash Thursday night on Brown Road west of Townline Road. Waldschmidt says a woman told the dispatcher Smack had grabbed his daughter in her car seat and walked into a marshy area where she lost sight of them. She drove back to Fond du Lac and eventually called the Sheriff’s office. Following an extensive ground and air search Waldschmidt says Smack and his daughter were located safe in Fond du Lac. Waldschmidt says the circumstances surrounding the crash and what occured afterward are being inverstigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
