The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says speed and alcohol appear to be factors in a fatal motorcycle crash over the weekend. Shortly after 5am Sunday the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle in the ditch on South Center Road near Jackson Road and a man on the ground nearby. The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was southbound on South Center Road, failed to negotiate a curve, and entered the ditch. The operator was not wearing a helmet, and the Sheriff’s Office says the crash most likely occurred about two hours before it was discovered.
