The Fond du Lac School Board has adopted the 2021-22 budget Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says it’s a balanced budget. The budget includes a slight decrease in the tax rate from $8.36 per thousand to $7.34 cents. “Primarily due to the increase in state aid, Dr. Fleig told WFDL news. “One of our biggest challenges will be our declining enrollment. We were given the one year exemption this year.” Dr. Fleig says eventually with declining enrollment there will be less state aid and cuts will have to be made to balance the budget down the road.
