A Lomira man was seriously injured in a two vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened about 12:30am Wednesday on County Highway D in the area of Hunter Lane in the Town of Fond du Lac. The operator of a semi-tractor with attached milk tanker was backing into a residential driveway when another vehicle struck the tractor-trailer. The driver of the southbound vehicle was extricated from the vehicle and flown by a helicopter to a trauma center for treatment of serious injuries. The Sheriff’s Office says the primary contributing factor to the crash was unsafe backing by the operator of the tractor-trailer. The 33 year-old male was arrested for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.
