A Fond du Lac County couple is donating a portion of their book sales to the Fond du Lac Boy’s and Girls Club. Steve and Charlene Rose of Eden say the Peanut Butter Promise is based on the premise that there is an incredible purpose for your life and you have been assigned a mission that only you can complete. Charlene Rose says After School Programs were important to her as a child and the Boys and Girls Club helps children be successful. “After School Programs really helped to bring some things to my life that that I didn’t have at home,'” Rose told WFDL news. “The Boys and Girls Club does that. They encourage these kids.” Steve Rose says he wrote the book to try to help other people learn from his mistakes. He says if there is one thing that he and his wife know is that it’s that you can fail forward. “When I hear somebody has gotten into treatment I jump and holler and rejoice because I know that there is help is on the way if they want it,” Rose said. “Our message is I know that this hurts, I know that you’re suffering, but there is hope, there is help.” Rose is the author of the best selling book Leap of Faith: God Must be a Packer Fan. The book sold 50,000 copies in less than a year. The Peanut Butter Promise is on sale at Festival Food Stores throughout the Fox Valley.
