The Green Bay Packer Foundation is helping to make a new Fond du Lac Pier Elementary School playground a reality. The Foundation has awarded the Pier PTO a $5,000 grant toward the project to help upgrade the current playground and it’s aging equipment. Pier principal Amy Jahns says the grant is part of a $130,000 fundraising effort, that has so far raised nearly $84,000. Jahns says the first phase of the project will involve installing a half mile long walking path next spring. Jahns says when the funds are raised what’s called a Spider Web, and an obstacle course will be installed. To learn more about the project you can log on to the Pier PTO website or Facebook page.
