A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain says the rescue of a lost hunter in the Eldorado Marsh is another example of how invaluable a drone is when it comes to search and rescue. Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says it was getting dark out when the hunter called the Sheriff’s Office Sunday evening to report he was lost on the west side of the marsh. Tadych says the area is a sea of cattails. Tadych says the hunter had followed a trail into the marsh and became disoriented. It turns out he was a couple thousand feet off course.
