The Fond du Lac County Board has adopted a 2022 budget. The board adopted the budget and five year capital improvement program at their meeting Tuesday night. County executive Al Buechel says the rising cost of medical insurance continues to be a factor. Buechel says the budget will include funding to replace the administrative software system. Meanwhile Buechel says the county continues to explore how to use the estimated $20 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funding over the next two years. Buechel says a big chunk of the funding will go toward broadband expansion.
