SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac Region is looking for workers…a lot of them. A job fair was held Thursday at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac for positions at hospitals and other facilities in Fond du Lac, Ripon and Waupun. SSM Health director of Talent Acquisition, Carmen Hern, says SSM Health is hiring for all positions including RNs, housekeeping, food service, transporters, patient access representatives, patient sitters and MAs. Hern says like other businesses across the country SSM Health is experiencing a worker shortage, and is looking to hire around 400 people. Hern says SSM Health never held a job fair in F0nd du Lac County looking to hire that many people, “Not here in Fond du Lac and we’re talking across all of our nursing homes and business units,” Hern told WFDL news. “We have a lot of different opportunities and can find the right fit for anybody.” Hern says SSM Health recently increased pay rates and is also offering starting bonuses and other benefits.
