Nobody was injured in a smash and grab robbery in the jewelry department at Kohls Department Store in Fond du Lac. According to Fond du Lac Police shortly after 5:30pm Sunday two men wearing masks entered the store and one man smashed the display cases in the jewelry section with a hammer taking jewelry. The suspect was detained by citizen bystanders until police arrived. The second suspect fled the scene on foot. He was described as a male Hispanic with a medium build, last seen wearing a yellow and green traffic vest and dark pants. Officers were able to recover the stolen merchandise. The 29-year-old suspect that was taken into custody is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.
