The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has positively identified the remains of a decomposed body as a teenager from Rockford, Illinois. Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says remains found by hunters in a shallow creek in the town of Ashford in November 2008 have been positively identified as Amy Marie Yeary. Waldschmidt says Yeary was 18 years old when she died. Waldschmidt says positive identification was made by comparing DNA from her mother and sister and a comparison of dental x-rays. Waldschmidt says detectives learned the last time Yeary was heard from was when she called her mother in the late summer of 2008 asking for a ride home from Beloit. She was never heard from again. Investigators have also learned that Yeary was a victim of sex trafficking. Waldschmidt says the investigation into her disappearance and death continue and anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office:
