11-3-21 fdl county employee wage increase

Fond du Lac County employees would get a bigger pay raise next year under budget revisions being recommended by the county finance committee.  County executive Al Buechel proposed a one percent increase in the 2021-22 budget.  The county finance committee is recommending a 2.5 percent increase.  County Board chairman Marty Farrell says the increase would be paid for through the county's salary contingency fund and would not impact the tax rate.  Farrell says […]

ATF agents have searched the home of a sitting Fond du Lac city councilmember as the investigation continues into a fire  last month that damaged her restaurant.   An ATF spokeswoman told WFDL news agents with the Eastern Wisconsin Field Office of the state Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives  executed a search warrant Tuesday  at the home of Fond du Lac city councilwoman Arletta Allen on North Park Avenue.   […]

11-2-21 fire destroys car in fdl

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a car in Fond du Lac Monday night.  Firefighters were called to the area of Brooke Street and Hamilton Place to find the vehicle engulfed in flames.  The fire caused damage to the street.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
